Band Branding

When tasked with creating three logo variations for a band named from a random text generator, I relied on the sketching process to get started. The band name I was given was Sad Forgetting. I started sketching as many pages and variations as I could come up with, before narrowing it down to five.

After receiving valuable feedback from classmates, I was able to narrow it down to three concepts.

And after many additional hours of refinement and experimentation, I ended up with the three final variations drop, gradient, and faded.
